Michael Chin, a 2030 quarterback standing at 5’10”, 140 pounds, has been immersed in the game of football since kindergarten. A native of Garfield, New Jersey, Chin began his football journey with the Garfield Jr. Boilermakers, where he developed a strong foundation and love for the game that has only continued to grow.
In his 8th grade season, Chin helped lead a young team that finished 4–4. Despite the record, the season proved to be an important developmental year, giving him valuable experience and insight into areas he’s eager to improve as he prepares for high school competition.
As he looks ahead, Chin is focused on refining his game—specifically throwing on the run and improving his footwork in the pocket. Already, his strengths are evident. He consistently delivers clean throws from the pocket, shows strong pocket presence, and has the athleticism to scramble when needed and pick up key first downs.
Chin has not yet finalized his high school decision, but he is considering several powerhouse programs, including Don Bosco Prep, Ramsey High School (NJ), DePaul Catholic, Wayne High School (NJ), and Paramus Catholic in Paramus, NJ. What draws him to these schools is the culture—particularly the sense of brotherhood—and the belief that these programs offer the best opportunity for him to grow and succeed both on and off the field.
With his eyes set on the All-American game in Houston TX , Michael Chin is ready to make a statement on the national stage to begin his high school career. He plans to give everything he has and welcomes the competition ahead, ready to prove himself at the next level.
