For Khmari Bing, football has always been more than a game — it’s a calling. He first strapped on pads at age seven in Prince George’s County, Maryland, inspired by his father, Wayne, and fueled by watching NFL greats like Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch. That early exposure shaped his mentality: play with passion, play with purpose, and play with toughness.

That mindset fits perfectly at St. Frances Academy, one of the nation’s premier high school football programs.

“You have to be a dog to play at St. Frances,” Bing said. “It’s like mini college.”

He credits head coach Messay Hailemariam for maintaining a culture of accountability, faith, and high standards.“Coach Messay is God-fearing, he coaches us hard, and it’s all about his program,” Bing said. “He makes sure his guys reach college and succeed.”

In the secondary, Bing develops under Coach Cameron Wiggins, who demands physicality, intelligence, and leadership from his safeties.“He wants to create dogs,” Bing added. “He’s a great coach and he wants the best for me.”

On the field, Bing models his game after two of the best to ever do it at the position — Ed Reed and Kyle Hamilton. His style reflects that combination: ball instincts, range in coverage, and the ability to fly downhill and finish tackles in space.A true ballhawk — every snap is an opportunity to take the football away.

His rise on the recruiting scene came with a major moment — a Pick Six on national television vs. Chaminade-Madonna on ESPN. One week later, Ohio State defensive backs coach Mack Guerrieri extended an offer. Though he spent a year committed to Maryland, Bing ultimately chose Columbus.

After reflection, he believed Ohio State was the place that aligned with his development and future goals.

His message to the next generation:“Stay down. Be humble. Put the work in when you’re young — you’ll make it big.”

Khmari Bing is a name to know. And if his trajectory continues — he won’t just be known… he’ll be remembered.
