MANSFIELD, Texas — Trent Sessions is just getting started, but the buzz around the 2029 athlete is already building. Standing 5’11 and 160 pounds, Sessions has been immersed in football since the age of six, inspired by watching his older brother bring home trophies and dreaming of shining on the field himself one day.

Now an emerging athlete at Mansfield Lake Ridge High School, a competitive 6A program in Texas, Sessions is beginning to turn that childhood motivation into real momentum. He lines up as a safety on defense and a wide receiver on offense, showcasing the versatility that college coaches covet early in the recruiting process.

Sessions’ game is defined by energy and intensity. Described as coachable, aggressive, physical, and fast, he brings a relentless motor every snap. His range on defense allows him to cover sideline to sideline, while his athleticism translates seamlessly to the offensive side of the ball.

Under Coach Harris, Sessions is learning more than just technique. Harris emphasizes football IQ, teaching players to understand down-and-distance situations and recognize quarterback tendencies—skills that are already sharpening Sessions’ on-field awareness.

A fan of the University of Texas, Sessions models parts of his game after DeAngelo Pond of Indiana, drawing inspiration from players who combine toughness with speed and discipline.

Lake Ridge High School is a program on the rise, and those around the team believe big things are coming. Sessions is poised to be part of that future.

Next up, he’ll have a chance to showcase his talent on a bigger stage. Sessions is set to compete in the USA TOP 100 All-American Game on May 16 at C.E. King High School in Houston, Texas. Expect a high-energy performance from a player who prides himself on giving 110 percent every time he steps on the field.

Still in the early stages of his recruitment, Sessions sees this opportunity in Houston as a chance to put his name on the map. If his work ethic and play style are any indication, it won’t be long before more eyes are on him.
